Brad and Melanie Jones began their journey with a vision of blending their professional lives with a more meaningful, sustainable connection to the land. With a deep commitment to the environment and a desire to create a lasting legacy, they established United Chestnuts—a thriving chestnut orchard and tree nursery dedicated to eco-friendly farming and community building.

While Melanie continues her full-time role as National Director of Partnerships at CORT, her passion for sustainability fuels both her work and the farm. United Chestnuts is more than just a business; it represents the Joneses' commitment to fostering a lifestyle of balance, personal enrichment, and growth. This couple shares a passion for inspiring others, whether they aspire to be landowners, orchard developers, or those seeking the simple joys of nature in their own “backyard.”

The U.S. chestnut market has seen incredible growth in recent years, driven by increasing consumer demand for sustainable, locally grown, and nutritious food. Once a niche crop, chestnuts are now celebrated for their versatility, health benefits, and environmental sustainability. Farmers nationwide are recognizing the chestnuts' potential, leading to the rise of new orchards and cooperatives. The chestnut’s low environmental impact—drought tolerance, fewer inputs, and support for regenerative agriculture—further propels this movement.
