Nurtured chestnut and select oaks trees from our nurseries are ready now, and fresh chestnuts are available this fall.
United Chestnuts is led by Brad and Melanie Jones, located in Central Kentucky, and committed to:
Passionate in helping the industry expand in the US. As supply increases, imports can be reduced. Thousands of acres of chestnuts are being planted at this time and it's important to educate consumers about this forgotten food!
At its core, the chestnut industry podcast Branching Out seeks to illuminate the multifaceted nature of the chestnut industry. It serves as a platform to spotlight the industry's evolving trends and significant developments. Through engaging conversations, the podcast delves into the perspectives of different stakeholders and aims to:
•Share captivating stories of individuals immersed in different facets of the chestnut journey.
•Provide a collaborative space for networking and knowledge exchange.
•Encourage listeners to join the ever-expanding chestnut movement.

Each week, the team at United Chestnuts publishes an industry blog telling the stories of growers, industry experts, chestnut researchers, updates in agroforestry, perspectives, motivation, farm life, and business opportunities, along with events and even special promotions on trees and chestnuts.
The US demand for chestnuts is exploding, and there's never been a better time to join in on the fun. Many are planting large and small orchards to increase property values, generate crop revenue, harvest superfoods, attract wildlife, create biodiversity and expand agroforestry.
The supply of chestnuts is expected to keep up with increasing demand. So grow them, buy them or eat them. "Growing together".
This recipie was so good. The chestnuts absorb some of the flavor of the sauce and add a crunch to the dish. Served with brown rice, kale and edamamees.
I made this sauce for roasted cabbage quarters. Our family found it terrific, a bit like a mole sauce! Source: The Blue Zones American Kitchen, Photo: David McLain

We're creating a series of videos avaiable later in 2024. This one has helped hundreds of our customers so we're sharing here.
We nurture the trees all year long. Protected from wildlife, fertilized, and watered! Come visit the farm. We offer a 90-minute tour and discussion for $150. We apply this to future tree purchases.
We actively post and share information about the chestnut community. Photo is of Bob Stehli at Winter Green Farms in Ohio with one of his beautiful chestnut trees.
Branching Out is the chestnut industry podcast featuring a variety of guests related to moving the chestnut community forward in one way or another.
