who is buying chestnuts in the US?

Chestnut Harvest Season Wrap-Up and New Opportunities to Grow!

As the 2024 chestnut harvest season comes to a close, we join many other growers who have also sold out of freshly harvested chestnuts. We’re grateful for all our customers’ support and enthusiasm this season. We love looking at the smiles!

With the chestnuts all accounted for, our focus now shifts to the chestnut trees we’ve been nurturing all year.

For everyone with preordered trees, now is the time to bring your future orchard dreams to life! Call us to schedule a pickup at the farm and get ready to start or expand your chestnut-growing journey.

A Few Tips for Tree Pickup

Each tree weighs about 30 pounds, so please ensure your truck or trailer can handle the weight based on your order size. While the trees are starting to go dormant, you may still want to bring a breathable tarp and plenty of straps if you’re not using an enclosed trailer.

We also offer 6′ wire baskets with a 6′ piece of rebar and 6′ grow tubes, both available for $13 each, for those interested in added support for their new trees.

When you arrive, we’ll provide a brief planting guide. These trees can be planted anytime, but we typically start growing in late November and continue through early Spring.

Haven’t Ordered Yet?
